Career Development and Training
Research Funded by NIEHS Grants - Division of Extramural Research and Training
The NIEHS develops future leaders in environmental health science through programs that help train new scientists and offer career development opportunities at universities and other institutions across the country. These programs include career development awards, individual fellowships, institutional training grants, loan repayment programs, and funding that helps attract particular groups to environmental science research.
During the past eighteen years, the NIEHS Worker Education and Training Program in conjunction with 20 awardees has supported the development of curricula and initiation of training programs throughout the country to help employers meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
We encourage you to learn more about NIEHS-supported predoctoral and postdoctoral training and career development opportunities.
