International customers visit and shop on Amazon marketplaces every day. You can sell to them in two ways. First, you can sell globally with Amazon by registering in one of Amazon’s international marketplaces. The resources on this site are set up to help you navigate this process.

The second way to sell to international customers is by enabling your listings to be available for sale to customers in other countries. For example, if you sell on Amazon.com, you can enable your products for export so that international customers visiting Amazon.com can shop for your products. You can ship to them directly if you fulfill on your own, or you can opt into the FBA Export program if you use Fulfillment by Amazon.

Fulfilling on your own
When you fulfill on your own, you can update your shipping settings in order to choose to ship some or all of your items to buyers residing outside of the United States. Learn how. If you fulfill yourself, you manage the export process, customer service, and returns. To learn more about the international shipping process, visit the Ship and Fulfill section on this site. Please note that it is your responsibility to determine which of your products are eligible for export.

FBA Export
FBA Export is a program available through FBA that can help you grow your international business with little more than the click of a button. Simply opt into FBA Export and Amazon automatically enables eligible products for export. When out-of-country customers place orders in your home marketplace, Amazon picks, packs, and ships the product from your inventory. FBA Export eliminates many of the traditional barriers to shipping products internationally. Please note that FBA Export does not list your products on other Amazon marketplaces. Instead, FBA Export allows your products to be shipped directly to international customers who already shop on your home Amazon marketplace.

How do I use FBA Export?

  1. In Seller Central go to the Inventory tab, select Manage FBA Inventory, and on the right-hand side, you will see “Sign up for International Shipping.” Click “Sign up for FBA Export”.
  2. Now, your eligible products are enabled for export. International customers visiting your Amazon home marketplace can search, browse and find your products. At checkout, the customer pays for the order. The payment includes international shipping, import fee deposit (Duty), and product cost.
  3. Amazon picks, packs, and ships the order to your international customer, completes export paperwork and pays duties and fees from the amount collected from the customer at checkout.
  4. If the customer has any questions regarding the order, they can contact Amazon Customer Service. If the customer has returns, the customer can go through the normal returns process for Amazon, and Amazon Customer Service will provide the return instructions.
