Metrics

The state-appointed health inspector pictured here, was in the process of performing an assessment of this kitchen’s sanitary condition. Metrics for Salmonella, Shiga toxin-producing E. coli, and Listeria (SSL) were developed, tested, and are fully implemented in all FoodCORE centers. Learn more about the SSL Metrics.

Other metrics include investigation activities for norovirus, other enteric disease pathogens, such as Campylobacter, Cryptosporidium, or Giardia, and outbreaks of unknown etiology. Collectively, these are referred to as the NOU metrics, for norovirus, other etiologies, and unknown etiologies. Learn more about the NOU Metrics.
