When Dr. James Witte took over George Mason University’s Center for Social Science Research, he was skeptical of community based participatory research – or CBPR.  His background was in quantitative research, big data and statistical analysis, and this was completely different.  He soon changed his mind, though.

On May 20th, The CWTS Leiden Ranking for 2015 will be released. The data, which is based on Web of Science indexed publications from 2009-2012, provides highly accurate measurements of the scientific impact of universities and universities’ involvement in scientific collaboration.

Join us on May 21st to discuss the Leiden Rankings with Dr. Paul Wouters and Ludo Waltman from CWTS. We’ll talk about how the rankings differ from others and what goes into calculating the rankings using the bibliometric data derived from Web of Science.
