How we calculate our share
Our share is calculated by taking a percentage of the list price plus a fixed charge. The fixed charge is $4.95 per unit and the percentage of the list price varies depending on where each sale occurs.
If you sold a DVD with a list price of $25.00 through a CreateSpace eStore, you would earn a royalty of $16.30. The calculation is as follows:

Proof Copies
The cost for a proof copy is the same as the cost for a single disc, plus shipping and handling. You are asked to pay this amount when you place your order.
Member Orders
Orders placed through your account for your title are referred to as "Member Orders." Members may purchase their own titles to distribute for $7.50 for a single disc.
A few important notes about Member Orders:
- You pay for your DVDs at the time of ordering.
- You don't earn royalties when you purchase your own title.
- Sales tax may apply to your order.
- Member pricing only applies to orders placed through your account for your own titles.
- Shipping times do not include the manufacture of your order. This will be calculated when you place your order.
- Orders are shipped from the continental U.S. For non-U.S. orders, allow additional time for customs processing and delivery to areas outside major cities. Import duties and taxes may be levied upon delivery.
- Priority and Expedited options are not available for U.S. P.O. Boxes

Artwork submission requirements
Images may be in either JPEG or GIF (not animated or transparent) formats. RGB images are required. The resolution of all images must be 300 DPI. You may not use the standard DVD-Video logo on your materials, however, you may use the DVD logo included in our templates.
Your Full-Wrap Cover Image is a single artwork file that includes the front cover, spine and back cover.

A small barcode is added to the bottom of your disc artwork. This barcode is required for quality control purposes. If you don't upload an image for the DVD face, we will simply print the title's name and attribution on a white background.
- Content must adhere to our Content Guidelines and Member Agreement.
- You must obtain all applicable copyright licenses to artwork used in your DVD. See our Copyright Guidelines for more information.
- Content must be an authored DVD provided as a single ISO file.
- ISO files must be unencrypted.
- Your source must contain only AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders in the root directory of the disc.
- We do not support inclusion of data or executable files on DVD.
- In order to maximize playback compatibility, we recommend a maximum total bit rate for the combined video and audio tracks of 6.5 Mbp/s (megabits per second).
- We recommend using Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio; however PCM and DTS audio are also supported.
- We accept discs up to 4.6 GB in size.
- Only single track DVDs are supported at this time.
- We recommend that you test your DVD by playing it on several different set-top DVD players before sending it to us. If the copy you send us contains any problems, then every copy sold will contain the same problems.
How much will it cost to set up my DVD?
We do not charge title set-up fees and you'll receive free CreateSpace UPC assignment for your DVD if you do not already own one.
Can I turn my DVD into a video download?
Yes! We can easily turn your DVD into a high-quality video download to be available through Amazon Video On Demand™, so you can let your fans pick their desired format.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
We offer a non-exclusive agreement, enabling you to take advantage of future publishing and distribution opportunities that may come your way. For more information, please see our Member Agreement.
