It is important that you understand and agree to the following conditions.

  • We will conduct a thirty minute search for a nominal charge (see below) and it may take up to two weeks for us to respond.
  • We will make photocopies for $5.00 for one to five pages and $5.00 plus a $1.00 per page beyond the first five pages. We will not do any copying without payment in advance. Photograph reproduction fees and terms are on our Order Photos page.

You agree to abide by the laws of copyright on unpublished materials, including photographs, and agree to credit Sharlot Hall Museum for any and all materials held in that repository which you may publish or cause to be published, or which you use in a public manner. You understand that any photocopying done by you or for you by the staff is done at your specific request. You further understand that material copied from this repository represents a true copy of the material. We do not guarantee that information obtained here is completely accurate.

In order to comply with Federal Antiquities Act 16 USCA 433 and Arizona State Law, the Sharlot Hall Museum Director and members of the Museum’s archives staff may, at their discretion, refuse to divulge information contained in the Museum’s holdings if they have reason to believe that the information may be used for illegal purposes, or for a purpose not in keeping with the best interests of present and future generations.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies of other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, archives and libraries are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user will be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to allow a copying order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

I have read and agreed to the above conditions.
