I called him Uncle Norman. I began my career in the mailroom at William Morris on Oct. 23, 1978. His stories about Marilyn Monroe, Kim Novak, Barbara Stanwyck and Loretta Young were spellbinding. He made sure I was introduced to Wma's most successful agents — Jerry Katzman, Tony Fantozzi, Lou Weiss and Larry Auerbach. In 1995 I became worldwide head of television, and Norman and I lunched regularly at Hillcrest Country Club, where he introduced me to his most important clients: Bill Cosby, Gerald Ford, C. Everett Koop, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Mary Hart, Jaleel White and Liza Minnelli. I learned so

Marvel and Netflix’s “Luke Cage” series just got a little better, thanks to a fan-made video that reimagines the superhero series as the ‘90s sitcom “Family Matters.” Created by YouTuber Zach Ace, the video uses the characters of “Luke Cage” and inserts them into the opening credits sequence of the family show.
The mashup begins with a shot of New York, a barber shop and introduces viewers to Frankie Faison, who portrays Henry ‘Pop’ Hunter. The show’s tone quickly changes from serious to happy-go-lucky with the addition of the song “As Days Go By” playing in the background and the shots of the rest of the cast smiling and laughing. To top it off, the clip also pokes fun at Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) by calling Rob Morgan’s character Turk Barrett, Turkel.

A review of tonight's Atlanta coming up just as soon as I make sure that you die homeless... After separating the trio of main characters into two groups, and two subplots, the last few weeks, Atlanta goes for a trio of short stories — one basically a one-panel comic sketch — in the wryly clever "Nobody Beats the Biebs." The title story is on one level a pretty basic one about Alfred coming to grips with both his relative level of fame and the public persona he's cultivated as Paper Boi. Though he gets to play on a charity basketball team with the likes of Jaleel White, he's clearly just filler — a local "celebrity" brought in to make sure the teams are even — and is being largely ignored even before "Justin Bieber" rolls up, looking very unlike what we're used to seeing — because he's being played by a black actor (Austin Crute »

Calvin Johnson showed some serious moves when he hit the dance floor with his partner Lindsay Arnold on Dancing With the Stars on Monday night. Dressed in suspenders and high-water jeans, the former football wide receiver channeled his inner Urkel as he danced to the Family Matters theme song. Of course, the best part came when Johnson came face to face with the real-life Urkel, Jaleel White, backstage. Having previously been a contestant on the show himself, the actor had nothing but kind words about his performance. The two even snapped a cute photo together after the meetup. Do we sense a bromance brewing? .@jaleelwhite officially approves of @calvinjohnsonjr's Urkel impersonation! #TeamLindsatron #DWTS pic.twitter.com/Rg8hTLsFBv - Whipclip (@whipclip) September 20, 2016 A photo posted by Calvin Johnson, Jr. (@megatron) on Sep 19, 2016 at 6:06pm Pdt »

We could have called the Veronica Mars movie. We could have guessed that Twin Peaks would get a reprieve from cancellation. And it made sense that The X-Files would get a follow-up series. But Full House? All these years later? This is one we didn't see coming. We got eight seasons and 192 episodes detailing the life lessons learned by Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), his three daughters and all the other people who came through the beautiful San Francisco Victorian they called home. And yet we're getting more in the form of Fuller House - this Friday, in fact, in true Tgif style. »
