  2. Authors of the Month: Alastair Pennycook and Emi Otsuji

    This month, Routledge Linguistics celebrates Alastair Pennycook and Emi Otsuji as our Authors of the Month. Co-authors of Metrolingualism: Language in the City, they both currently teach at the University of Technology, Sydney. 

    Alastair Pennycook also authored several other Routledge titles, including Language as a Local Practice (2010) and Global Englishes and Transcultural Flows (2006). Emi Otsuji co-edited Languages and Identities in a Transitional Japan: From Internationalization to Globalization (2015) and is the Japanese editor for The Japan Journal of Multilingualism and Multicultuarlism
