Charles Finch: to most of you, that name will mean nothing, but to a few, it will make you smile and say: “God, did I ever tell you about the time Charles…” Finch is our version of Broadway Danny Rose, with a touch of Gatsby, a smidgen of Mr Toad and a drizzle of Walter Mitty. In no particular order, he is or has been an agent, a PR, a producer, a publisher, a raconteur, an entrepreneur, a party thrower, a shopkeeper, and a man with 1,000 excuses, all of them implausible.
