HBO Brings Web Series ‘High Maintenance’ to TV with New Episodes

HBO is bringing web series “High Maintenance” to TV.

The pay cabler has greenlit six new episodes, HBO president of programming Michael Lombardo announced Monday.

“’High Maintenance’ has proven to be one of today’s most highly-acclaimed online comedies,” said Lombardo. “We are thrilled to bring this sophisticated and clever series to our HBO audience.”

The comedy, created by married couple Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, follows a Brooklyn pot dealer (played by Sinclair) who delivers to clients with neuroses as diverse as the city. The duo directs the project, produced by Janky Clown Productions, and also exec produces with Russell Gregory.

“We have been growing this show organically for three years now, and we are elated to bring it into full maturity at HBO, the gold-standard of both online and televised entertainment,” Blichfeld and Sinclair said in a statement.
