    Women’s History Month — Let’s update Wikipedia — Friday, March 13

This year’s national theme is "Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives." This theme provides an opportunity for the NIH community to acknowledge and celebrate the many achievements of women scientists, researchers, and administrative leaders. Women’s History Month also encourages us to reflect on the obstacles women have had to overcome to secure those accomplishments, and to work toward a day when women and girls can achieve their full potential, free from barriers of any kind. By honoring the accomplishments of women, we challenge negative stereotypes and inspire future generations of women to strive toward their own triumphs and discoveries. NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins invites you to help the NIH record the countless contributions that women have made in the arenas of science, health, and discovery by participating in the NIH Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon, which will be focused on Women Scientists and Researchers at http://goo.gl/5Eo6js.
