A really lovely shot, Craig. Composition of both form and colour look pleasing to me :-) Is there a glacial lake at the base of that escarpment? Thank you for volunteering to take up convening ...
-
for making the thread such a success :-D

Ayer's Rock, Uluru, the sandstone monolith in Central Oz gets the same light show effects, as do the nearby Olgas, etc. Truly unbelievable colours.

Gidday Anders and Tom You are both right, to a degree. The OM models were full of shock absorbers for mirror, mirror rebound, shutter curtains, etc. And I have discovered some oddities with IBIS ...

Try looking at the full size images, Joe. Full text from that page, not 'cherry picking': " The camera's JPEGs are rather impressive (if perhaps a touch heavy with their sharpening, when viewed ...
-
Sorry, Joe, I actually thought for a few weeks that you might have given up starting fights for the sake of having a fight. Interesting that you can manage to perform a close examination in less ...

Full size images and DPR review is here, as I have already posted : http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympus-om-d-e-m5-ii/9

Joe, download the images and compare them for yourself, as I have done. The difference is pretty stark, specially when considering the relative price of the two cameras. I did the above because of ...

Haha, Martin It appears that SG either hasn't read this page: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympus-om-d-e-m5-ii/9 Either that, or he doesn't understand what the reviewers said so plainly ....

SG does not appear to realise that the E-M5 MkII image is around 76% larger in area than the D810 image ... Around 25% on the long edge.

For sure, Martin ... ;-) If it weren't overcast and raining here, I could be out photographing the pigs flying overhead ... :-D
-
Gidday Martin I did exactly that. The E-M5 MkII appears to be a far better image in every respect. However, I could only download the JPEG of the respective RAW files, as I cannot process the E-M5 ...

Set it to S-IS AUTO. The camera will then compensate for panning automatically, if I understand it correctly.
-
Gidday AfM There's something in your detailed explanation that doesn't quite make sense to me, but I can't finger it. Probably, I am just not understanding it well enough. However, shifting the ...
-
Gidday Tom I must be doing something wrong. I just cannot get my EM-1 (or any of my other cameras) to produce anything like that ... ;-) Every now and then, I belt the shutter release button ...
-
It sure is, WF ... ;-) Lovely area, lovely shots. All that up and down stuff is stunning. Most of Australia was worn down to a nub by about 1.5-2 billion years ago ... For just one example, we have ...
-
Silly question, Tom, but have you cleaned all the lens, adapter and body contacts?
-
Couldn't have been a return. Everything in the box except the camera body was factory wrapped, and all the details and numbers match up. The camera still had the screen protector on it, as fitted ...
-
Not really. A friend in the know told me they had an EM-1 they "wanted to get rid of" when I had rung him about something else related to the E-M1. I have heard that wholesale price for body only ...
