What You Missed at the MTV Movie Awards

10 hours ago | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Last night, MTV held its annual Movie Awards despite the network having made only one film in the last two years (bet you didn't know MTV was responsible for Project Almanac), and as usual, it was a snoozefest. Sure, Amy Schumer held her own as host with her usual sex jokes, a mini-roast for Kevin Hart, and some great in-between skits involving her auditioning for some of the last year's biggest movies. But the surprises were few and far between: The Fault in Our Stars, the clear tween fan favorite of 2014, walked away the night's biggest winner with three awards, including Movie of the Year. Here's a breakdown of the night's best and worst moments. Channing Tatum: Jennifer Lopez won Best Scared As Shit Performance (for The Boy Next Door), and since she accepted the award from the Magic Mike Xxl cast, she had just one request: twerk! 10 hours ago | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Sarah Connor will meet her grown-up son, John, in “Terminator Genisys.” And then he’ll try to kill her. A new trailer that Paramount Pictures released on Monday teases a scene in which John (Jason Clarke, “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”) shows up as a cyborg, and tries to terminate Sarah (Emilia Clarke, “Game of Thrones”). Fortunately, the terminator we all know and love (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is still hanging around to make sure she doesn’t fall for Skynet’s tricks. New ‘Ant-Man’ Trailer Has Paul Rudd Mixing Action and Gags (Video)

10 hours ago | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Disney released a new trailer for Marvel’s “Ant-Man” starring Paul Rudd on Monday. In the film, Rudd plays convicted con man Scott Lang, who is given a second chance by Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). Pym recruits Lang to help stop the evil Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) from using the Ant-Man suit, which allows the wearer to shrink in size but increase in strength. The trailer sees Rudd, who co-wrote the script with Adam McKay, exercising his comedy chops. For example, when Lang tries to reassure Pym that he’s done “breaking into places and stealing stuff,” Pym then says, »

Is Varys Really a Targaryen Supporter? Here’s What We Know About Him So Far

10 hours ago | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Varys risks his life to help Tyrion across the Narrow Sea. And now, as we begin season five, he claims to want Tyrion's help in putting Daenerys on the Iron Throne. But isn't Dany the same person he helped try to kill in season one? How do we reconcile Varys's claim that he is a Targaryen loyalist when his actions on the Small Council for the last three kings (Robert, Joffrey, and Tommen) have actively opposed a Targaryen restoration? What web is The Spider spinning here? And why? It might help to examine what we know of Varys, which, admittedly, is little. Like Littlefinger, he is a master manipulator who believes that information is power, especially misinformation. He is a master of disguise, as well as a former Master of Whisperers. But he has hinted at his motivations, either by sharing information or withholding it. Spoilers ahead for the most »

Derek Zoolander Has a Son! Ben Stiller Introduces Cyrus Arnold, the Male Model's Mini-Me—See the Pic!

10 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Derek Zoolander has a son! The really, really ridiculously good looking male model, played by Ben Stiller, has passed his golden genes on to the next generation. On Monday, the Zoolander 2 star Instagrammed a photo of himself with his onscreen offspring, played by Cyrus Arnold. As you can see, Derek Jr. hasn't quite perfected his blue steel pose, and it seems unlikely his dashing daddy would've been the one to commission that bowl cut. Young Zoolander also looks less than thrilled to be cruising 'round town with his gorgeous guardian, but Irl, he's pumped to play the part! Arnold reposted Stiller's Instagram photo to his own page, exclaiming, "It's out!!! I am playing Ben »

National Lampoon's Vacation Reboot: Check Out the Griswolds Wandering Far From Walley World

11 minutes ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

The Griswolds are heading back to Walley World in this reboot of the 1983 film National Lampoon's Vacation. And it looks like one of their stops, intentionally or not, is in the Mojave Desert. The cast of Vacation, comprised of Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, along with their two on-screen sons, played by Skylar Gisondo and Steele Stebbins, was seen on the Mojave Desert set Wednesday filming. Similar to the original film, the reboot is centered around now-grown up Rusty Griswold taking his family on a cross-country trip back to America's "favorite family fun park," Walley World. From the looks of these pics, it looks like this on-screen family is set to be stuck in a desert dilemma, »

Wonder Woman Movie Shake-Up: Michelle MacLaren Out as Director

27 minutes ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Wonder Woman is going to have to lasso itself another director. Michelle MacLaren has left the long-gestating project, set to star Gal Gadot as the tiara-rocking DC Comics superhero, E! News confirms. "Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct 'Wonder Woman' together," the studio said in a statement Monday. And once again we're left with the question: Why, since the cult-classive 1970s TV series, has it become so difficult to get a mainstream Wonder Woman project off the ground?! Gadot will still be suiting up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and is on board for the Justice League movies, »

Gotham Recap: Fish Mooney vs. Not-Quite-Mike Piazza

45 minutes ago | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Monday night’s Gotham is only useful as a place-holding declaration of intent. Which is to say: Nothing substantial happens in "Beasts of Prey" that won't happen at greater length next week. This is sadly typical of Gotham lately. Various important subplots are progressing, particularly Bruce Wayne's search for Reginald Payne and Fish Mooney's escape from the Dollmaker's island prison. But while last week's episode suggested that various characters are on their way to getting what they really want, tonight's episode makes it seem as if progress won't come to Gotham City without a lot of throat-clearing. So in an episode like "Beasts of Prey," it's tempting to say that the best subplots are the ones that show the most signs of narrative progress. But that's not necessarily a great way to gauge the worth or success of the show's inter-related stories. Instead, I want to try to judge each »

Yes! Zac Efron Shirtless Multiple Times In New Movie—Get the Hot Details!

46 minutes ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

The best part about this year's MTV Movie Awards was not seeing the cast of The Avengers on stage. Nor was it a sneak peek at Pitch Perfect 2. Heck, even Jennifer Lopez's gorgeousness doesn't compare to the amazing news I received on the blue arrivals carpet. Zac Efron, I am more than happy to report, is going to be shirtless multiple times in his upcoming movie, We Are Your Friends. "There are maybe three times he's shirtless," the film's director, Max Joseph of Catfish fame, told me, adding that he feared there would be "riots" if he kept Efron completely clothed for the entire movie. "He's shirtless and you get a good dose of it," Joseph »

Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne on comic failure: 'Did you see 'Annie'?'

When we interviewed Nick Kroll, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannavale about their new comedy "Adult Beginners" -- out on VOD April 24 -- we learned that you don't forget your comic failures. "I think comedy is so much harder than drama," Byrne told us. "You know when it's failing very quickly." "Have you seen 'Annie'?" Cannavale added, referring to the 2014 musical remake in which he costarred with Byrne, his girlfriend since 2012. In addition to that film, we discussed surprisingly funny costars (Jason Statham?), the hectic weather conditions that made "Adult Beginners" almost impossible to film, and acting heroes. »

Steven S DeKnight on 'Daredevil' secrets and where are the gays in Hell's Kitchen?

1 hour ago | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Steven S. DeKnight has worked on some celebrated TV programs over his career. He's written for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and held different producer titles for "Angel," "Dollhouse" and both "Spartacus" incarnations.  Now, he's earning critical acclaim for his contributions to "Marvel's Daredevil" which debuted on Netflix last week.  Thanks to show creator Drew Goddard and DeKnight, this version of the classic hero is a far cry from the tepidly received 2003 movie that starred Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear.  Netflix's "Daredevil" is the darkest, bloodiest and most grounded Marvel Studios creation yet. And yet, as with most great "Daredevil" stories it features an inevitable showdown between Matt Murdock in his alter ego as Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk a.k.a. The Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) as they both fight to transform a pretty upscale neighborhood of Manhattan (O.K., it's still pretty un-gentrified because of all that destruction in "The Avengers, »

Demi Lovato Credits Personal Trainer for Kicking ''This Eating Disorder's Ass''—See the Sweet & Sweaty Shout-Out!

1 hour ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Demi Lovato is in the best shape of her life—physically, mentally and emotionally—but she didn't do it alone. The brunette babe took to Instagram to give a special (and sweaty!) shout-out to her personal trainer and his wife for helping her reach a healthier lifestyle and continue on her road to recovery from her past eating disorder. The collage of photos featured a notebook with Demi's workouts and records written down, motivational messages on the mirror (including a Bible verse) and, of course, a selfie of the singer with her trainer Ronny Comacho. But the caption was the sweetest part... "For the past 8 months this man has helped me beat my hardest critic: myself. The »

Robert Downey Jr. Talks Diaper Duty and Iron Man's Post-Avengers Schedule: Is Spider-Man in His Future?

1 hour ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

To think, Robert Downey Jr. had to try to get into the very first Iron Man movie. And now Tony Stark and his heavy-metal suit are pretty much booked for the rest of the decade! Asked at the Avengers: Age of Ultron junket if he was going to be in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, the third film in the Chris Evans-led franchise, Downey told E! News, "I've been invited to join that film, yes." And while he did not confirm as much with regard to the addition to the Spider-Man canon that's now in the works between Sony and Marvel, he did not deny the rumor that he's been asked to lend his talents to the movie as well. Downey did say, however, that he'd like to see Spidey »

1 hour ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Undergarments have come a long way since the constricting, uncomfortable corset days of old. In the last century, through the influence of boundary-pushing designers and risk-taking celebrities, we've seen a super trend of the scantily-clad variety. We're not just talking crop tops and sports bras; we're unveiling the history behind the barest of essentials. Think: exposed lace bras, slip dresses and, yes, even nipple pasties. How exactly did we get there? Let's look at the history of underwear as outerwear. 1500s Though it existed before this time, many believe Catherine de' Medici, queen of France, ignited what would be the undergarment trend for the next 300-plus years.
