  • ...yet we'll see people stubbornly use stills cameras as video cameras as they have larger sensors than this and with a price that could enable them to buy more copies of that camera.

  • Right. I probably forgot about the filter from the previous models since the 1 series were easy to dismiss as they are pricey.

  • Amateurs. Till now they still don't have IBIS and where are the carbon fiber versions?!

  • That 4K thing is nothing but a specs checklist. Sales will tout it as 4K capable and the consumer will wonder his 4K videos seems slow and jittery.

Good thing it is a different kind of plastic.

"Teijin Limited's Sereebo® has been adopted. This new material, which utilizes carbon fibers, is very lightweight, yet strong and durable."

Awesome DR at base ISO found in DXO. Though the NX1 is even better, the price is out of reach for many.
I also appreciate they have reduced the weight so much that it weighs less than a d3300. ...

  • Why bash the camera, it has a reasonable price at launch. It has a price of a Sony RX100 with good specs and looks. This might be larger than the compact but this is insanely fast.

    I criticized...

  • Interesting. Finally, a 1inch sensor without the filter as it doesn't need it. FHD video specs are nice too. Price at launch is sensible, selling at a price of a Sony RX100.

  • Samsung S6 too.

  • I almost forgot that the RX100 II doesn't have an EVF.
This still makes sense. For example, a person fine with small sensor compact cameras but needs an EVF.

  • The output of the J4 seems quite right for me, pertaining to the sharpness and color noise.
Aren't the other sensors cooking their RAW files, removing a bit of color noise in all sensitivities?

  • Good job.  I'll get back to this and see what this means when I get back from work.
  • Replied in Not bad..
...but other people could be better, I mean, complain more. I too have a lot to complain as it shows in my gear list. It is the only camera I bought for myself and probably a smartphone if that counts.

The award is justified. Olympus didn't go all out in this model and is probably reserving the hardware upgrades for the next E-M1.

  • LOL. Windows Task Manager on pic 16. The Japanese CAD uses some CPU usage though.

  • That seems true and I have never thought of it.  Right now, I'm pondering if that relates to difficulty controlling the saturation of the deep reds of a scene. In SPP, if I increased the saturation ...

Hi DPR, it wouldn't hurt if you add some Sigma DP's in the comparison tool. No reviews, just that only.

Now he's telling that it's not difficult to design lenses for the FE mount which previously he mentioned that it is difficult and just considering the idea. How can that be difficult if its...
