I had to tighten the two outer screws on mine also. I don't think they were very tight when new. If they don't behave, I will put a dot of locktite on them. :)

Thanks, If I knew the C would actually be out so quickly, I might have saved some dough. I am really pleased with the sport though. :)

Those look good Micloi:) How does it seem compared to the Sport??

Air currents from temperature fluctuations can make things bad and blurry with long lenses too. Sometimes things wind up looking like an impressionist painting especially around the water. It ...

I am very pleased with mine. :) I was on pre-order from Oct. 24 from one of the big NYC stores and found at the first of the year at Roberts Camera. They must be making these by hand and ...

I set my 7d to +3 and mine looks good all around to me. Actually less than most canon telephotos I have used with this body. I think my body would front-focus a bit with a perfect lens because my ...

It sure doesn't look like you need to mess with it to me. Nice shots. : ) I have the dock also, but just set my 7d to +3 and my 1dsii looks right on. This is less adjustment than any of the canon ...

The Sigma is hefty, but there is a reason for it. The MIJ part I like as well. The Tamron would be easier to carry around, but I don't mind the weight, I was used to a 300mm f2.8 and TC's.

That's it, the sharpening is turned all the way down on all the lenstip samples. : )

You are probably right. It would be a real shame though to leave out the screw drive for those nice FA lenses. The 31mm would be great on that new body. : )

I see the mount is designated Kaf3, I wonder if it will bring back the aperture coupler for old lenses?

It was new and hard to get when I bought it, and they said they would fix it under warranty. The problem was a sharpness issue, it just got soft at distance over about 30 feet. I would have gladly ...

If they would have fixed my FA*300 f2.8 6 years ago when they even had their own service, I might still be using Pentax. Service is a big deal when you need it.

except the secondary clarifiers at our clean water plant and some ducks found a place to hang out and eat some algae. : )

I've had no problems with my sigma, and 20F would feel like spring as cold as it has been here. My 7d is rated to 32F and it works too, way below that. It was 1 (-20 wind chill) yesterday. : (

I'm interested in what you find out, as it seems like a lengthy but worthy task. I found mine needed +3 on my 7d (body) at 600mm and it seems pretty good all around, though I didn't do a lot of ...

I have that one as well, and the 234rc tilt head. Works good. : )

The sigma looks pretty good up close as well. Here are a couple of a gull from yesterday with a 7d: f6.3 This one at f8 One at 430mm wide open cropped about 30% I agree with the Full Frame comment ...
