Clubs and societies

Add to your university experienceIf you're looking for your university experience to be more than just textbooks and classes, joining a club around campus is a surefire way to spice things up.

The University of New Brunswick Saint John hosts a wide range of over 50 clubs and societies. There's a Bangladesh Students' Association, a Biology Society, and everything in between.

Clubs are groups you can join to have fun and feel included. There are societies for international students to meet each other and find understanding within their own cultures, as well as clubs for those who simply like to party, like the Keith's Crew. There really is something for everyone.

Get by with a little help from your friends

Joining a club or society as UNBSJ is the most effective way to meet people. If you sign up for a club that sparks your interest, chances are that the other people in the club will share your interests and you'll make friends easily.

So get out there, pay attention to posters and word of mouth, and join the club or society that suits you and your lifestyle.

Student media

UNBSJ offers a campus radio station and newspaper, both run by students, for students. CFMH 107.3 is on the public airwaves, and programs run all day and well into the night.

The Baron is the campus paper, and it is produced on a bi-weekly basis. For those students who are interested in journalism, or even those who simply have something to say in the opinions section, the Baron is your vehicle.
