Clubs and societies

Getting involved at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton campus is easy with more than 70 clubs and societies on campus.

From dancing and debating to rock climbing and scuba diving, there's a recreational or cultural activity for everyone.

Joining a club or society at UNB Fredericton will help you learn new skills and meet new people. Extracurricular activities are a great way to form lasting friendships and make important contacts with other students on campus.

Participating in a club can play a major role in your personal development, and in some cases clubs can make you realize what direction you want to take in life. A prime example is involvement in the Student Union or student media.

Student media

For those interested in exploring their journalistic side, UNB Fredericton has both a student newspaper and radio station. Like talking to people? Good with words?  Then get a radio show or write some pieces for the Brunswickan.

CHSR-FM is Fredericton's only campus radio station. The station has been based out of the Fredericton campus since 1961, and shows cover a broad variety of subjects from culture to politics - and music of course.

The Brunswickan is Canada's oldest official student publication. It's been around since 1867. Sections cover not only news, but sports, health, opinion, and arts and culture and provides a place for writers to hone their skills.
