Correct - 1 - You cannot put a focal reducer on a lens that normally sits that close to the sensor. 2 - That lens will not cover a larger sensor, so even if you could shrink the the image circle, ...

Did I miss something? I thought this was for adapting a super takumar? That said, you can convert several FD lenses to EF. I used a 50mm f1.2 SSC converted to EF on focal reducer, and on my 5D ...

I'd recommend an EF adapter. You can use m42/pentax k/nikon F lenses on EF mounts with a cheap adapter, Canon EF lenses as designed, and all with one focal reducer.

I haven't noticed anything adverse in either case - Panasonic 25mm on EP3. I'd guess UV would increase veiling, dropping contrast but I really haven't noticed much of it. CA is specific to edges. ...

There's several options, including using a focal reducer - "best" is subjective. If you're just after using the lens and getting the most speed and resolution, then use an m42-mft adapter with ...

Both versions of the 20mm F1.7 are excellent, but their AF is a little slow. There are other ways to get a fast 17mm other than voigtlander. The Tamron F 24mm F2.5 ($100, flare prone) on a cheap ...

I'd be wary of KEH right now. I had extremely poor service in my last transaction with them. I ordered a bellows(ex condition), and it arrived broken. RMA and shipped it back - took a MONTH to ...

There is a teleconverter and electronic extension you can add if you're picking up four thirds lenses. The 14-54mm II is excellent, and cheap, though with your 12-40mm it's redundant. The 50mm f2 ...

Quite true. The difference between MFT with focal reducer and FF is a crop factor of 1.44 (for 0.72x reducer). You can read about that here. I've actually been using my EP3 with focal reducer far ...

Sounds fun - That would get pretty wide ;) Keep one thing in mind - there's no electric contact or compatibility. If you want to set aperture, set it on the canon camera, hit the dof preview ...

I'm very pleased with the results from my legacy set. I have a 25mm F1.4 and 45mm F1.8 and did use them often, but the manual 24mm F1.4 and 50mm F1.2 lenses I use mostly are noticeably faster, ...

My hobbies flip from one thing to another constantly. I guess it's an ADD like symptom, but I think it works in my favor. Computers is my first, be it in building, modding, scripting. There's ...

Yes - The 8mm Rokinon lens I have is for APS-C (EF-S). There's no obstruction to worry about if that's any concern, and while the combo is generally wider than the APS-C canon (1.44 vs 1.6 crop), ...
-
Don't hold your breath, they haven't done it for Canon yet. We're STILL waiting for the EF mount-MFT speed booster. The only way you get EF to MFT on focal reducer is to buy other company's adapters. ...

Hmm, thought panasonic would be 58-62mm. If it's that large it might vignette? Looks like the glass is smaller in diameter. I should measure my 70-300mm (old four thirds) lens and see the actual ...

An oldie but a goodie: The olympus tcon 17 - I originally used it on my panasonic FZ-18 way back when. http://www.camerachums.com/Olympus-TCON-17-1-7x-Tele-Converter/p-429353?refid=Google There's a ...

Good job daddy :) I look forward to doing the same with mine ;) Though by then if she's into it, she'll probably be picking lenses out of my bins..

True - but I'd still expect it to be harder to differentiate. I'm sure they would have stopped down the zoom. Regardless, the superzoom has to be taken as one unit unfortunately.

Practical use example! Not only does it not resolve as much detail, but it's also at ISO 100, which is the best case scenario for it. This is weird since the sensor has 20 megapixels, so in the ...
