THEATRE: The two-week run of Rodney King kicks off with a pay-what-you-can performance. Woolly Mammoth Theatre (641 D Street NW) 8 p.m. PWYC ticket sales begin at 6 p.m.

FILM: If for some reason you haven't seen Frozen yet, now is the time. Note: It is Family Fun Night, so be prepared for lots of children. There will be children's activities and free food available before the film begins at sunset. Sursum Corda (Plaza at L and First streets NW) 7 p.m.

MORE FILM: A Hard Day's Night turned 50 (50!) recently. To celebrate the seminal Beatles' film, the West End Cinema (2301 M Street NW) is screening the 1964 classic until Thursday. 6:40 p.m. Tickets here.

MUSIC: He's won a Grammy and has played with George Harrison, David Bowie, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Tonight, Peter Frampton comes to U Street NW. The Lincoln Theatre (1215 U Street NW) $55-75
