Can Moses save Venice from the sea?
Flooding In Venice was once a rare occurrence but now the iconic St Mark’s Square can expect to be flooded 200 times a year.
The fragile lagoon city is pinning its hopes of protection from the sea on the Moses project - an experimental barrier system which is nearing completion.
It is also attracting admiring glances from other cities wanting protection from rising sea levels, as Ade Adepitan reports.
