A movie from the Bhatt banner, Raaz 3 is a horror-thriller with touches of sexy drama to it. The third installment of the Raaz series, Raaz 3 maintains the same genre albeit with a story that has no connection to its prequels. It is directed by Vikram Bhatt, who has previously directed horror thrillers like Shaapit, 1920, and Haunted 3D. Raaz 3 also marks the return of Bipasha Basu in the series, who was part of the first movie but wasn’t a part of the second. The star cast of this movie also includes Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta. Apart from being the 2nd highest-grossing movies of Vishesh Films, Raaz 3 is also one the highest-grossing horror movies and the highest grossing movie of the Raaz series.
Shanaya (Bipasha) is a very successful actress at the peak of her career. She bags numerous recognitions for her work, winning almost all awards. All the big banners are willing to work with her, and she is on cloud nine. Even her personal life is at a high point, since she is dating a successful director named Aditya (Emraan). However, the scenario changes when her step-sister Sanjana makes her movie debut. She takes away the limelight from Shanaya and also the lucrative offers. Shanaya is extremely jealous, as first she holds Sanjana responsible for parting with her father’s love for Shanaya and now she also wants her pie in her career.
With the help of her uncle, she calls an evil entity to perform black magic on Sanjana to make her life hell. They aim at torturing Sanjana till the point she becomes suicidal. Shanaya uses Aditya to get close to Sanjana so that he can feed her with a black poison. However, eventually, Aditya falls in love with Sanjana and denies troubling her anymore. It is now up to Shanaya to destroy their love and also Sanjana. What drama unfolds after this makes the rest of the story.
The Blu-ray format of Raaz 3 (3D) (2012) was released by Reliance Home Entertainment. This horror-thriller is rated as A and is available in the Hindi language with English subtitles.
