Pier 1 Imports plans to open its Hilo store in March, a company spokeswoman said. No date has been set for the grand opening in Prince Kuhio Plaza. The store will be Pier 1’s second on the Big Island. Its Kailua-Kona store opened in 2012. “Shoppers will soon be able to enjoy the same style they’ve come to know at our Kona store and other locations throughout the state,” spokeswoman Chrissy Madison said in a statement emailed to the Tribune-Herald.
