Early Friday, Kanye West made a return to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and sat down for an interview with Charlamagne. And he definitely put his foot in his mouth and showed exactly what he thinks about the recent headlines surrounding his “family.”
As many know, earlier this week West’s sister-in-law got into a heated Twitter debate with his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose. The not-so pleasantries exchanged included accusing each other and family members of being whores. Rose, who rose to fame while dating West, wasn’t one to back down from a Twitter squabble and seemed to have gotten in the last word when she insinuated that West’s sister-in-law was the offspring of O.J. Simpson. I mean, they do look alike.
During West’s interview this morning, he seemingly joined in on slut-shaming Rose.
“She’s just soaking in the moment,” he said of Rose. “If Kim had dated me when I wanted, there would be no Amber Rose.” West also said he had to take “30 showers” before entering into a relationship with his now-wife.
One has to wonder if West had to take 30 showers for himself, since his now-wife rose to fame not only after her infamous sex tape with Brandy’s little brother but after dating athletes, who aren’t known for their monogamy. It’s funny how some men seem to be OK with the fact that their girlfriend’s promiscuity is up for question when they’re dating or in a relationship with her, but once they move on to what they think is something “better,” they get all highbrow and scoff at the fact that they even dated her. Ahem, I see you, Wiz Khalifa.
On another subject of dating, it seems as though West sees nothing wrong with pedophilia, given that he approves of Tyga’s alleged relationship with a minor. Tyga, who is 25 years old, has denied it but is supposedly dating another sister-in-law of West’s, who happens to be a mere 17 years old. Rumors have it that Tyga and this sister-in-law began dating when she was only 16. Chris Hansen would definitely ask Tyga to “have a seat.” But West is all for it.
“I think he got in early, I think he was smart. ... They closer in age than a lot of relationships I know,” West stated.
What in the “To Catch a Predator” hell is West talking about? So it’s OK for a grown man “to get in early” when it comes to dating and lusting after a teenager? Somewhere in heaven, Dr. Donda West is looking down and shaking her head.
Let’s fast-forward 14 years from now, when little North West is a 16-year-old and brings home a grown-ass man and says, “Daddy, this is my boyfriend.” I’m sure West would have a different opinion of pedophiles after that.
Abraham Lincoln said it’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Once again, West has spoken and shown just how much of a fool he really is.
