This isn't a photography forum...

I'm not sure where to begin. In all honesty, I'm not primarily a stills shooter. I do it occasionally, but most of my work is video work, which is why I primarily use Panasonic. And, honestly, MFT has been a godsend for me, especially Panasonic bodies. A lot of what I do would be much harder, if not impossible, if not for MFT. I get A LOT of use out of my cameras. They're pretty much work horses the way I use them. I have a very specific set of criteria for my bodies and lenses, which is why I'm also a gearhead and I use sites like DxO to help me pick the best stuff. But, in the end, I actually do it because I need to do it to get the most out of my gear. I don't honestly believe that's why most of the people here do it.

Even though this isn't really a video oriented forum, I'm not sure it's a stills oriented forum either. I'm not sure what this is. Forums like this take measurebating to a whole new level, but I'm not sure why you guys do it, because I don't really see a lot in the way of photography here. I don't really see critiquing either. All I see is ENDLESS discussion about the new 40MP sensor shift thingy on the E-M5 II. And I mean ENDLESS. There must have been at least 20 new threads on just this. And I'm quite certain that only a small fraction of you are EVER going to find this of practical use, given the fact that you need at least a 1 sec exposure and, when it captures motion, it doesn't have the type of gentle blur you'd have from a typical 1 sec exposure, but a harsh jumpy blur. To me, this type of excitement isn't really rational.

In all honesty, I'm going to continue with the gearhead nonsense that goes on here because I genuinely believe that MFT has advantages not matched by any other system. But it's freaking weird. That's all I can say about it.
