I have had the 70D and its vertical grip for a while now. I recently wanted to change the neck strap location, which was currently connected to the eyelets on the opposite sides of the camera ...

Fujifilm had the EXR sensor. Low and high sensitivity photodiodes on a single chip. It was great for DR. Not so great for moving subjects and had issues with processing fine detail.

If this is the case, then contrast detects works just as good as DPAF because they are indistinguishable in terms of focus. I don't think the OP has to worry whether a lens works with DPAF or not.
-
Do you have the ART version or the EX version?. I have the ART version and it works with DPAF.

My new years camera resolutions is the same as last years, 20.2 Megapixels.

I see, you must have just posted that seconds before I posted my response. You should still use a lower ISO. I find the best way to check and do MFA is with EOS utility software. I think you ...

I find it hard to tell from the images. Try using a lower ISO in better lighting and maybe shoot closer to the subject. Also you are shooting the f1.4 lens at f1.8. For testing purposes, use ...

Assuming you have a crop body, Sigma's 30mm f1.4 ART is the closest thing you will get to a 50mm equivalent. Its not as sharp as their 50mm f1.4 but its still considered sharp, and is half the ...

Third party battery/vertical grips are never worth it. I've seen too many people having issues with them such as slow burst rate, overheating and battery drain.

Which method of MFA are you trying to achieve?

Yes its there to lock the rear main dial, since its easy to accidentally move it.

If Costco is an authorized US Canon reseller, then yes, it is a USA model.

Like everyone else said, prefocus. If you are really bored, connect your smartphone or tablet wirelessly (if you have one) and focus and shoot wirelessly.

I would first see it the lens is front or back focusing and then remedy it with micro-focus adjustment.
