Confucius Institute Releases Chinese New Year Greetings
featuring the Mason Jazz Ensemble
During their fall 2011 tour, the Mason Jazz Ensemble performed an interpretation of the Chinese traditional
music version of "Clouds Chasing the Moon" in the Shanghai Concert Hall. All the members had participated
in the George Mason University Confucius Institute Chinese language courses in preparation for their
October 2011 trip to Shanghai and Bejing, China. The George Mason Jazz Ensemble's trip to China
included performances, clinics and cultural events.
