Who We Are

The College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) offers degrees in Art, Dance, Film & Video Studies, Music, Theater, Arts Management, Art Education, and Computer Game Design.

Professional and liberal arts courses of study are designed to prepare students for careers as creators, performers, teachers, scholars, arts leaders, and arts entrepreneurs, while enriching the cultural life of the Mason Community.

WHY A MAJOR IN THE ARTS?

Students in CVPA work closely with faculty who are recognized professionals in their fields and bring their talent and expertise to the classroom in order to foster skillful and creative leaders. Our outstanding faculty members strive for innovation and excellence in their classes. Outside of class, three campuses plus the entire Washington DC metro area provide exciting opportunities to experience meaningful internships and other collaborative endeavors within the arts.
