Glenn Dewey, B.M., University of Illinois; M.M., Northwestern University; bassist, U.S. Marine Band; former double/electric bass instructor, Millikin University (Decatur, Illinois) and Shepherd College (Shepherdstown, West Virginia).

Mr. Dewey has been a performer and educator for nearly twenty years. His clinics and performances of classical, jazz and commercial styles of music have taken him on tours throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He has also done additional study at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

An active clinician and guest lecturer, Mr. Dewey has appeared at many universities, colleges, and public schools for orchestra and jazz festivals, as well as double bass symposiums. His extensive performing background includes his solo performance with the Millikin/Decatur Symphony in a world premiere of "The Eclectic Heartland" by David Burdick, a tone poem commissioned by Mr. Dewey, and his performances at the Kennedy Center leading the Glenn Dewey Trio.

In 1994 he was awarded the Principal Bassist position with the "President's Own" U.S. Marine Band.
