Spider-Man's Sinister Six Movie Is Moving Forward, Here's The Evidence

14 hours ago | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

When last we saw the amazing Spider-Man on screen, he was swinging a hubcap at a charging, mechanical Rhino (Paul Giamatti) in the waning moments of Marc Webb.s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The wall-crawler's future seemed clear. He'd next be called into action to fight and defeat The Sinister Six, a villainous squad born out of OsCorp.s laboratory. Plans, though, were in flux for some time but now seem to be snapping back into place, suggesting an upcoming Sinister Six shoot. Some of this might have to be taken with a grain of salt, for reasons I'll happily explain. But a Twitter user named @ThatBlueHood posted messages that stated that The Sinister Six would be shooting in Vancouver. No time frame was given, only the knowledge that a "dude who worked on Planet of the Apes requested S6 stuff for research" and "said it was happening. »

'Fifty Shades of Grey' director cut the book's most talked-about scene

14 hours ago | EW - Inside Movies | See recent EW.com - Inside Movies news »

For fans of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey, there are many memorable scenes that will play out on the big screen: Ana and Christian's introduction, his visit to the hardware store, their first night in the Red Room of Pain. However, there is one scene that readers won't get to see—though odds are that many fans won't be upset about the omission. Fifty Shades director Sam Taylor-Johnson told Variety that the now-infamous scene in which Christian removes Ana's tampon so that the couple can have sex will not be in the film. "It was never even discussed, »

First Look: Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Grimy In Alejandro González Iñárritu's 'The Revenant'

14 hours ago | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

“It’s a fun ride. It’s a very experimental thing that we’re doing here…I’m now addicted to doing things that can fail horribly or maybe that can give us a surprise. We are all into it,” Alejandro González Iñárritu tells EW about his currently-shooting "The Revenant" (one our 100 Most Anticipated Films Of 2015). And it seems like the director, who went out on a few limbs with his jazz-scored, "single-shot," Oscar nominee "Birdman," likes to dance on the high wire.  Co-starring Tom HardyWill Poulter, and Domnhall Gleeson, the story follows a 19th century fur trapper who is mauled by a grizzly bear, left for dead and robbed, who then goes on a mission of vengeance against the men who left him out in the cold. And reteaming with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, Iñárritu is shooting in the wilds of Alberta, Canada and adding an extra layer of »

Star Wars: Kate Mara Could Star In The Spin-Off, Get The Latest

1 hour ago | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

When you consider the fact that Rooney Mara and her sister Kate Mara are only two years apart in age, it makes a lot of sense that they would be considered for the same roles. This surely doesn't help in any kind of sibling rivalry sense, and one can imagine the competition growing more intense in direct correlation with the size of the project or part they are pursuing. That in mind, the two Mara siblings might soon get ready to go to war, as apparently both of them are going out for the female lead in Gareth Edward's upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie. This interesting tidbit comes directly from Variety reporter Justin Kroll, who dropped the scoop about Kate Mara potentially being up for a role in the new Star Wars movie on his personal Twitter account. This news is coming about 24 hours after the story from last night »

Last week, it was announced that Tom Hardy had dropped out of the upcoming DC movie Suicide Squad. Hardy was set to play team leader Rick Flag, but due to other commitments, he had to forgo appearing in the 2016 blockbuster. It was then reported that Warner Bros. was looking at Nightcrawler star Jake Gyllenhaal, who worked with Suicide Squad director David Ayer on End of Watch, to fill the vacant position. Unfortunately for them, it appears that they will have to keep their search going, as Gyllenhaal won.t be joining the DC Cinematic Universe anytime soon. Variety is reporting that Gyllenhaal has passed on the offer to play Flag, though they didn.t provide a reason why. Suicide Squad will begin production in April, so there is still time to secure a replacement. 3 hours ago | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

The Michael Bay-produced time travel film Project Almanac is set to come out in less than 10 days, but pressure has been applied to have the movie changed before its release. It turns out that one scene,in the film features footage extremely similar to a fatal B-52 crash that occurred back in 1994, and families of two of the victim have requested that it be removed. The families of Col. Robert Wolff and Lt. Col. Mark McGeehan recently got in contact with Air Force Times after seeing the Project Almanac trailer, which features a scene of actors watching crash footage that looks "nearly identical" to what occurred in 1994. They were reportedly outraged by the clip and felt disappointed that it would be used outside of its original context. In a statement to the Air Force Times, Michael Bay said that he was unaware that the two-second shot in the movie »
