THE Rimba Secondary School (SMR) awarded students with certificates for their participation in Co-curriculum Activities’ (CCA) throughout the academic year.
The ceremony was themed “SMR Heroes in CCA Appreciation Day”, where students were given certificates for their fine contribution in the CCA activities such as the Army Cadet Corps, Police Cadet Corps, Fire and Rescue Cadet Corps, Scouts, Red Crescent and Girl Guides.
Students from the football, futsal, badminton, netball, lawn bowling, gulingtangan and choir clubs were also rewarded for their contributions over year.
The head of Mukim Gadong ‘A’, Hj Tahamit Hj Nudin attended the ceremony to hand out certificates.
According to a statement from the organisers, CCA activities are a way to tap into the talents of students and to encourage them to get more involved with the public.
Two top students in the CCA programme throughout the year, Ak Mohd Zulhilmi Pg Abd Halim and Nuur Saufi Ar Rasyiqah Md Sofri received certificates for being the most active students in the national and international CCA programme. - Abdul Aziz Ismail
