Associate Director for Laboratory Science and Safety

This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is located in the Office of the Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Atlanta, Georgia. As the Associate Director for Laboratory Science and Safety, you will serve as the agency's senior laboratory scientific advisor and consultant to the CDC Director and provide executive leadership in the area of laboratory safety and quality management systems; provide scientific, technical and managerial expertise and leadership in the development and enhancement of laboratory safety programs; provide oversight and monitoring for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive, effective laboratory safety and quality management program across CDC, ensuring that all agency's laboratories are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards and requirements.
