Online DVD/BD retailers
Online retailers of packaged media products (DVD, Blu-ray) are entitled to use the BBFC’s age ratings (text or symbols) for these works for free with reference to our General Free Licence which can be found below.
Exceptions
If your packaged media retail service also makes BBFC rated digital video assets available to customers alongside their BBFC age rating then you must become a Licensed BBFC Digital Service or stop using the rating. More details here.
The BBFC can supply rich metadata in a number of formats, and can also provide refined BBFC symbols that are more suitable for small resolution screens.
