Smith died on November 3rd, 1981 in Los Angeles, CA. He was buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Compton.

1. The California Death Index notes that Smith's mother's maiden name was Steven. Theolic appears in the 1920 census as the nephew of Charles Dillworth and Louvinia Hornberger Dillworth. Pearlie was the daughter of Louvinia's sister Victoria Hornberger and husband George Stevenson. Pearl married Fee Smith in on December 28th, 1913. Charles, Louvinia, Fee, Pearlie and Theolic are all living together in the 1920 census.
