Buddy Allen
Lamar "Buddy" Allen, born November 25th, 1914, in Pine Bluff, AR, was a Negro League baseball player with the Birmingham Black Barons about 1940.Biography
Multiple sources indicate Allen played the Birmingham Barons. This is quite possible considering Allen had a long career in athletics. He was a an All-American quarterback for AM&N college before coaching the football program at the school from 1942-1951. Allen was inducted into the Southwestern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame in 1999.
Allen died on May 16th, 1989 in Los Angeles, CA.
