Herbert Buster

Herbert Buster, born December 26th, 1914¹ in Louisiana², was a Negro baseball player. He played infield for the Chicago American Giants in 1943³. Buster lived in Hot Springs, AR most of his life.

Buster was the son of Rich and Laddie Buster². In 1937, he played for the Giant Collegians, a Negro barnstorming team from Pine Wood College in Mississippi⁴. He may also have played with the Kansas City Monarchs⁵.

During World War II, he joined the Army¹⁶, likely ending his baseball career. Buster died November 8th, 1976¹.
