  • How do I Earn Points and Badges?
    Points and Badges will be awarded for various activities performed on itimes.com. These include creating posts or interests, sharing, commenting, voting, following, inviting friends, linking your profile with Facebook and Twitter accounts and subscribing to our daily newsletter. You can earn the Interest Master Badge by acquiring more interests. An Interest is acquired by tagging more posts with that interest.
  • Is there a limit on how many points I can earn in a day?
    Yes, there are certain limits and thresholds on points that can be earned by doing the activities and/or combination of activities on itimes.com in a day. These thresholds are controlled by complex algorithms to prevent the abuse of the reward system and to ensure the quality of the content posted.
  • How do I redeem points?
    Points earned on Times Points program are redeemable against exclusive deals available on www.timespoints.com. You can redeem your points after reaching a minimum threshold of 5000 redeemable points. Sign-in to www.timespoints.com to check your total redeemable points.
  • When do the Points expire?
    When you earn points, your points earned are valid for 12 months from the date of earning. Points earned will be lost after 12 months from date of earning, if not redeemed. Ex: Points earned in January 2014 will expire on the 1st February 2015. The points will expire on the 1st of every month.
  • When does the Global status expire?
    When you earn a Global status level, you will get to keep it for 12 months from the date you attained it i.e. the global status level will expire on 1st day of 13th month. The new Global status is allotted to you basis the points earned by you between the time period of the date you achieved your previous global status and the date it expires. However, after 12 months, you can lose your global status in case of a drop in your points on the site.
  • When do the Badges expire?
    When you reach a particular level within a badge, you will get to keep it for 12 months. If within those 12 months you cross to the next threshold, you will move to the next badge level. However, after 12 months, you can lose your badge in case of a drop in your activity on the site. Some exceptions like the Interest Master and the IChamp Badge, expire in 1 month, and many of the badges on itimes are never expiry badges.
  • When are my Points Credited?
    Badges and Points will take a maximum of 90 seconds to be credited to your account.
  • Why am I not getting any points for my activities?
    There are certain limits and thresholds on points that can be earned in a day for an activity or a combination of activities to prevent the abuse of the reward system and to ensure the quality of the content posted. Keep browsing itimes.com and come again tomorrow to earn more points.
  • I do not see the points I have earned on itimes till now.
    Times Points is an entirely new reward system on itimes. As such the old points system no more holds good. However, all your future activities on itimes will get you points under the new Times Points system.
  • Do I still get points for activities done on my posts?
    Yes. You get points every time a user comments, wows or votes on your post.
  • What is the Interest Master Badge?
    You get the Interest master Badge on acquiring interests. You are the interest master of an interest if you have done the maximum activity on any interest. Interest masters are based on weighted counts of activities done by the users while creating, posts and tagging interests.
