Pankaj Singh Bio

Pankaj Singh is a tall and muscular bowler who has made good strides in the Indian domestic circuit. He put on a good performance at the Under-19 level and made his first-class debut in 2004 for Rajasthan.

He had a great 2005-06 season when he picked up 21 wickets at an average of 20.95. He followed it up with another good showing for India A against Zimbabwe and Kenya. This led to his selection in the Indian Test squad for the tour to Australia in 2007-08 but he did not get a game.

Pankaj continued to perform consistently in the domestic circuit and his best performance in a season came in 2010-11 where he picked up 53 wickets. His performances in 2010-11 earned him a place in the Indian team for the tri-series against Zimbabwe. He played in one game against Sri Lanka but conceded 45 runs in seven overs without taking a wicket.

In 2011-12, Pankaj was the third highest wicket-taker in the season with 34 to hand Rajasthan their second consecutive Ranji Trophy. Despite taking 39 wickets in the 2013-14 season, Pankaj remains overlooked - much to his publicly made disappointment.
