What's Happening Now
I am going through, I dont even know how to describe, but im asking for help and i guess thats the 1st step. I am just into my 2nd trimester. Things have gotten so bad with the babies father. For example, I get told to get my hormones in check, when i ask for help with something i get, "you'll figure it out." The name calling is unbelievable. I've cried and have been having panic attacks for the past week. Im trying to find my center to pull my myself through this, but its so hard!!! I've tried talking to him. All I want is respect, to be cared about, to be treated like a person..... i dont think thats too much to ask for... am i wrong???
i hope some of you can shed some light to this. or offer some really good advice. Thanks in advance.

Obviously, you still want to minimize any drug use, but hopefully you get some relief.View Thread
I don't know if it would help your particular situation, but it can't hurt to find out. More information is here: http://forums.webmd.com/3/pregnancy-second-trimester-exchange/resource/40View Thread
This product is designed to relieve pain in both the hips as well as the sacral region of the back.
The Hip Brace is designed to provide targeted compression to the pelvic cradle and sacroiliac joints (aka: "SI Joints"). The Hip Brace is indicated for treatment of hip pain and instability of the hips, and also helps relieve pain in the sacral region of the back.

The part I like best about this rib belt is that while my ribs haven't been injured in several years, I've been able to put the rib belt on backwards to achieve relief of my lower back (lumbar sacral area). Essentially, it doubles as a back brace once you're done using it to heal your ribs.
This particular rib belt, which is made by FLA Orthopedics (a highly reputable manufacturer of soft orthopedic braces & supports), has a style for both men and women and is sized universally so as to fit virtually anyone who tries one on, fitting wastes as small as 24" and as large as 48".
IMO, this is the best deal out there on maternity belly bands. This particular back & belly support band for pregnant women is the most comfortable of three different brands I tried --- all in the same style (a simple band wrapped around the lower back and abdomen). In addition to being the most comfortable, it also did a better job of actually providing firm yet gentle support, helping relieve pain in the process.
What I like best about this maternity belt (known as a "Mini Cradle"), which is made by the same company that makes the Prenatal Cradle supports, is that it's less than $20 (if you look around for the best price). I saw similar products priced near $50, and even saw this same exact item listed for sale for $34 in some stores.
I got mine from Egan because their prices are literally half what Wal-Mart and Target charge for these same maternity products.
The Mini Cradle maternity support belt is comfortable, effective, durable and surprisingly affordable.View Thread
Is there anyone else that's had this experience? How did you cope? Was there anything that you did to ease the symptoms?
Thanks!!View Thread

I had vulvar varicosities during my first pregnancy and it was a nightmare beyond anything I'd ever experienced before --- at least down there. My OBGYN wasn't even familiar with the condition and at first didn't know what to do. She eventually came up with a solution but I suffered two weeks unnecessarily.
Without being graphic, suffice it to say it was swollen, painful, itchy and much to my husband's chagrin sex was not even a remote consideration. Back then, they were just coming out with these compression vulvar support braces that are supposed to make the pain go away without the need for sclerotherapy.
Luckily, in my case, while I can't say it went away overnight it did start to ease up within a few days. Within a couple of weeks, it was barely noticeable, and my life was back to as normal as it can possibly be when you're five months into a pregnancy.
The company I got mine from doesn't exist anymore, but when I learned I was pregnant again I immediately went searching for anyone else that sold them (I never imagined I'd need a second one) just out of fear it MIGHT develop during my second pregnancy.
At the bottom I've attached a photo so anyone interested can see what it looks like.
