Most beans and legumes have incomplete proteins and need to be eaten in combination. For example the Hispanic combination of beans, rice, corn and squash. Quinoa does have a complete protein and is quite delicious. Surprisingly romaine lettuce is 25 percent protein.
There are sites you can use that will tell you the nutritional information on the various foods you eat.
Personally when I don't get enough protein I get what I call the hungry horrors. Some nuts or Greek yogurt usually helps me with that.

I train my back and traps on the same day. It's kind of hit or miss with me. Sometimes I really hit them both really good and sometimes I feel like I pushed it a little too far.
Today, I did pulley rows and I hit my spot on every rep. I did dumbbell shrugs next and I knew after I did my set I pushed myself too hard. I feel pretty bad.
I know traps play a secondary role in back training. I'm usually pretty careful. I really don't want to splt them up--but I don't know if there any alternatives and if I'll get better results.

I recently got a shoulder injury while playing basketball and can no longer work out my shoulder area without pain.

My goal is to lose 10 lbs by Nov 15th... 3 months. This means a lb a week. But I am dense, my muscles, so if I am working out and gaining muscle mass how do I know if 10 lbs is accurate?
I like where I am, but I'd like to be more lean and tighter. So to get here, what if it looks more like only losing 5lbs... so should I be measuring body fat?View Thread

What are some problems with having too much iron in your body?
Too much iron in your blood may be just as bad as having too little. Iron is a potent oxidizer that can generate the production of "free radicals". By now, everybody has heard the term, antioxidants (and the importance of eating them)? Well, the job of antioxidants is to neutralize the tissue destroying effects of "free radicals". It's been suggested in recent studies that overdosing on vitamins may be causing cancer, diabetes and liver damage within the population.
The best solution is to see your doctor, annually, and be sure to have your blood drawn and tested as part of the checkup. Also, make sure you disclose all drugs, vitamins and supplements (especially, diet supplements) during annual check-ups, too.
Who are most at risk for iron deficiency? Babies, young children, adolescent girls, people on restricted diets, pregnant women & women with heavy periods...according to Dr. Oz: If you need to change your tampon after less than two hours, you're considered a heavy bleeder and could mean you're low in iron.View Thread
