What's Happening Now
I took a test last week to see if I have a c diff infection(I wa on antibiotics for h pylori in April) but no call with results yet.
My doctor told me to take Ibrogast but the bitterness and alcohol irritated my GERD. Phazyme, gas x, pepto bismol, probiotic, etc. is not helping. I'm drinking lots of water and eating well.
When is this "gas" pain from my colon going to go away? I can't see my GI til October. What else can I take?View Thread
I have a problem for 5 months with my belly. I don't know what it is.
I have been to doctor. He told me that is IBS or lactoz intolerance or gluten. So I started to stop drinking milk and eat any lactoz stuff. But if I eat bread or pasta pastry I have got problems. Sore belly and crumpy on the left side. Also I have got dizziness and I look pale. After couple hours i am fine just the blowing. Muscle sore hard to walk. I go to the toilet every morning once. I don't have diarrhoea or constipation. After if I eat something I blow up. I tried to read a lot of things from ibs and it doesn't write about dizziness. Could you help what can it be? Thank youView Thread
I have been dealing with stress induced diarrhea for maybe a year or so now, why did this start happening, idon't know i have always delt with anxiety but never did diarrhea come with it. Well, now is different story, i get anxious before going on a 20 min drive, meeting a new pet sitting job, getting ready to go on a flight, any type of long trips, jury duty(got out of jury duty with a written dr note that i have IBS),ect. and that makes my stomach nervous and with that comes the urge to have a loose bowel.....it doesnt care where i am! It's hard to have any social life, but i do have a very supportive husband. Immodium seems to help but do i want to keep taking that? Everywhere i go i have to make sure i know where the restroom is, while driving i have to route where i can stop and go to restroom. I feel your pain and hope we can figure this out one day, i dont have any issues while at home, but who want to be at home all the time. Many blessings to all of us!View Thread

can you suggest me if you have figured out any thing...can you tell me reason and solution of pain after passing stool (i dont pass gas/fart even a single time a day ..is that normal)..or gas could be the reason for pain..??View Thread
previously i used to go 3-6 times anytime...
but now after some allopathic & ayurvedic medicines i have to go 3 times with in 3 hours of waking up..
but my main problems is cramps in stomach after every bowel movement..
some times cramps stay for an hour or two but many times throughout the day..pain is severe when mucus comes out...i strongly feel i can get out of this hell..but these cramps don't allow me to workout, meditate and stay stressed free..
If anyone can help me in reducing and eliminating these cramps and tell me the reason of these cramps..god will bless you..this pain killing me...View Thread

Also, for the past 2 years he would complain that his tummy hurt and he couldn't eat anymore food, tonight I realized that around the time his tummy started bothering him(2 years ago) he also stopped eating spicy food or anything that was too spiced up. Since the ER visit 3 weeks ago he has gotten worse.
I just need to know what symptoms any other child has had and how to I go about getting a diagnosis without making him have episodes for 2 months which is what the guideline says is the basis for it.View Thread
I feel for you.
I have had a colonoscopy, MRI & two vaginal sonograms which lead to a robotic hysterectomy. The left side pain continues. It feels more like menstrual pain more than anything else. I eat 2 — 3 yogurts per day and you must remember that you do not need to poop every day I have found that when I awake I drink at least 8 ozs of water within the first 30 minutes of the day. (You have been asleep and no reason to start your day dehydrated.) Also I started taking Midol which actually seems to help a lot. My complaint has always been that it felt like menstrual cramps. The Midol does help.

In fact, I believe there was a recent recommendation that children with diarrhea issues be checked for celiac disease, since 1/4 of those with diarrhea were found not to have 'simple diarrhea' but instead to have gluten issues. Diarrhea doesn't have to be a result of celiac disease, it can also be a result of a new category of GI problem that's falling into a category called non-celiac-gluten-sensitivity as well as other 'food allergies.'
Have your doc check further.View Thread
After many tests, upon my revisit, he said that most people have gram-negative bacteria in their bowels and I have gram-positive but said it makes no sense because I haven't been taking antibiotics.
I guess my questions is, what does that mean? What does gram-positive mean and what else should I know?View Thread
What kind of testing have you had done? What have you tried yourself besides the pepto? Any digestive issues run in your family? Any food intolerances or allergies? Do you take medications that could contribute to the problem? What does your doc say?View Thread
Yes, SIBO may produce a subset of IBS problems, but not all.View Thread
Whichever brand you do end up going with, make sure this brand is totally transparent about its ingredients and dosages, it's really important to know what you're taking.
What really helps with NOVA is that the supplements have 14 different strains of probiotics and one prebiotic, so that really makes a difference.
Good luck!View Thread
Have you been evaluated via testing? And if so, what tests were done?View Thread
