InPsych is the bimonthly bulletin of the Australian Psychological Society and is one of the primary means of communicating with the APS membership. InPsych is also circulated widely to other relevant professionals and organisations. The bulletin provides a prominent voice for the APS and psychology, presenting a cover feature in each edition on various topics, which provides an authoritative review of psychology’s contribution to important issues of community concern. The bulletin also includes information on important developments in professional matters, education and training, and membership initiatives, as well as highlighting the APS contribution in matters of public interest. InPsych also provides the means of promoting events, conferences and continuing professional development opportunities to APS members.
Subscriptions
Members of the APS receive InPsych for free. Individuals who are non-members can subscribe directly.
Subscriptions run according to the calendar year i.e. 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2013. Late subscribers are supplied with back issues.

- High resolution PDF – 300 dpi / press ready
- InDesign – including all graphic and font files
- Illustrator EPS – fonts outlined and 300 dpi images embedded

Information for contributors to InPsych
General contributions
The APS welcomes completed articles from members for inclusion in future editions of InPsych. Submissions should relate to a topical psychology issue, or industry developments in Australia and overseas.
All articles submitted may be edited for length and style, and inclusion is at the editor's discretion. The recommended length is either 800 or 1600 words.
All articles must be written specifically for APS members, but in a non-technical and easy-to-read style. A 'conversational' tone of writing is appropriate for InPsych (similar to what you would expect to read in a weekend broadsheet newspaper magazine supplement but, of course, written specifically for psychologists).
Abstract submission for an InPsych cover feature

DECEMBER 2014: Psychological health and wellbeing in the workplace The December 2014 InPsych cover feature will highlight psychological health and wellbeing in the workplace. The APS invites members with expertise in an aspect of this area to submit a 200-word abstract of a proposed article for consideration by the InPsych editorial committee. The committee will then select abstracts and invite those authors to submit a full article for publication. Articles proposed by members should present a practical application of the cover feature, with an ‘on-the-ground’ focus relevant to the theme. Articles will be selected to complement the lead article, which will provide a more theoretical state-of-the-art overview of the area. In addition, selected abstracts will be chosen to appear as articles in the cover feature based on suitability (e.g., if a number of abstracts are received proposing similar articles, only one will be chosen). The word length of final articles will be confirmed upon selection. However, no selected article will have a word length in excess of 1,600 words in length. References should be presented in APA format. All articles must be written specifically for APS members, but in a non-technical and easy-to-read style. The deadline for all abstracts is Monday, 15 September 2014. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified soon after the abstract deadline and final articles will be required by Friday, 31 October 2014. Letters to the editor should be no more than 300 words in length. By submitting your letter for publication you agree that the letter may be edited for space, legal or other reasons. Selection of letters for publication will consider the breadth of issues covered, avoidance of repetition, and variety of authors.
