Ratings: Big Brother Slips as NBC's Preseason NFL Tops Night

NBC’s coverage of the Hall of Fame preseason NFL game between the Bills and Giants led Sunday night in both total viewers (with 7.6 million of ‘em) as well as in the demo (scoring a 2.5 rating).
Facing off against football, CBS’ Big Brother (6.7 mil/1.9) added a few eyeballs but fell 14 percent in the demo, while Unforgettable (5.8 mil/1.0) and Reckless (4.4 mil/0.6) were both flat.

ABC’s Bachelor/ette-themed Wipeout (3.7 mil/0.9) ticked up in audience plus a tenth in the demo, while Rising Star (3.5 mil/0.9) was flat.

Report: Big Bang Stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco Ink New $90 Million Deals

Warner Bros. has shown Big Bang Theory stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco the money.
After protracted negotiations that pushed back the show’s Season 8 start date until Wednesday, the trio have agreed to new three-year contracts worth $1 million an episode, per Deadline. When all the perks are factored in — including signing bonuses and back-end fees — the actors will likely pocket north of $90 million over the three years.
With Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco on board, and co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik already signed, all eyes turn to Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. The pair remain in active »

Nickelodeon Orders School of Rock Series to Premiere in 2015

Nickelodeon is going back to school.
The network has ordered 13 episodes of a live-action series based on Paramount Pictures’ 2003 Jack Black movie School of Rock, TVLine has confirmed.
Following the film’s blueprint, the comedy will tell the story of garage-rocker Dewey Finn, who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious private school, eventually teaching his students — you guessed it — how to rock.
