Educational programs for children, conserving valuable historic objects, and exploring the archeological past are just a few. Find examples of giving opportunities and stories about individuals who help support Kansas history.

Swovelan Endowment

Margot Swovelan was a longtime employee of the Kansas Historical Society who worked with the newspaper collections. When she died in 2011, her brother, Dr. Eric J. Rinehart, established an endowment in her name.

Charles and Virginia Clark

Charles and Virginia Clark recently donated $50,000 for exterior exhibits at Mine Creek Battlefield State Historic Site in Pleasanton. The Clarks want to extend opportunities for visitors who travel to the site when it is closed.
