Kaw Mission - Plan your visit

Kaw Mission tells the story about the place where 30 Kaw boys lived and attended school from 1851 to 1854. The Kaw (or Kansa) gave our state its name. They lived here along the Santa Fe Trail for less than 30 years before the U.S. government removed them to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). Learn more about these people and the Santa Fe Trail.
