Who we are and what we do

Simon homepageThe Journalism Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes, develops and sustains free and fair journalism across the world. The Foundation has several initiatives. The first is a partnership with the department of journalism at London’s City University which is providing support for journalists in Tunisia. The second sees The Journalism Foundation supporting a grass roots website in an effort to increase engagement in local politics in the British town of Stoke-on-Trent. We are also supporting an effort to bring community-first journalism to people in some of the poorest areas of rural Tanzania, and a media training pilot in South Sudan
