London — Ricky Gervais is giving his most famous TV creation in the U.K. a feature film. In an announcement made Tuesday, it was revealed that David Brent, the manager from the original version of The Office and the inspiration for Steve Carell's Michael Scott in the U.S. remake, will be getting his own spinoff feature, backed by BBC Films and set to go into production in the U.K. next year.
