Internships

The Kansas Historical Foundation offers paid internship positions during the summer. The deadline for each of these is April 15. The funding for these internships is endowed through contributions to the Foundation.

The John Ripley Internship is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for eight weeks offered every year during the summer. Interns will receive a $2,500 stipend.

The Marylouise Meder Internship is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for eight weeks offered during the summer in odd years. Interns will receive a $2,500 stipend.

To be considered for a paid internship, applicants must complete an internship application form and submit it along with a resume, cover letter, and the name and address of at least one reference with knowledge of the applicant's public history and/or academic skills. Applications should be submitted by April 15. After applications are reviewed and evaluated, students will be notified if an interview will be scheduled. All applicants will be notified whether they have or have not received an internship.
