I've been using it for the past couple of months and I do feel it's a great camera to start learning Digital photography. I've learnt many new tricks and have been able to get some great pictures done with this camera. The Guide Mode has been helpful for a newbie like me.
Haven't found anything negative about the camera so far.

After some time, you may feel the need of a lens with a better zoom capability than what comes with the Kit, but that's not a drawback with the camera per se.

I was skeptical about deciding between this one and another similar product offered by Canon. However, i stopped searching after reading about this product. And after searching on various sites, i saw the best price available on Amazon.in! Once again i was in doubt over the services provided by Amazon in terms of Product as well as delivery.

Couldn't resist it because of the specifications packed in this product and later best price deal available compared to other sites and also the Amazon guarantee. However, the end result is that I am holding this product within 2 days of payment (opted for 2 day delivery as couldn't wait). And very satisfied with the packaging, product quality as well as the customer interface provided by emails and messages.
I did use the Chat feature to gather more detail of the product and the lens kit. The assurance from CC was satisfactory.
My recommendation to other buyers: do read about the product on various sites, understand your usage w.r.t to the product and choose the product from Amazon without doubt if you get the best prices here. Even paying a few bucks won't be a loss as you want to have a original product and not just a price deal!

I will definitely opt for amazon till the date they keep providing th best services and genuine dealers.

Regarding the product Choice: I almost spent and entire day reading about the product in the Category 'DSLR for beginners and below 25k'. The product won over few other options as it is definately a userfriendly and having all basic requirements of starting your photography hobby. Still, it will be a humble advice to do read about various photography lessons and manuals before making your first click. Happy shooting!

Nikon D3100 is the best starting DSLR camera for beginners. Also amazon is providing the camera at what others sell for 5K extra.

got this dslr 2months back. better than my expectations. i cant say much bcoz i have not any other dslr.. but this cam and 55mm lense wth it works gud.. soon i feel need of bigger lenses so i bought tamron 77-300mm.. belv me u have many things can be done on ur pic when u edit it in nikon software..
