We would like to give guidance on Hapag-Lloyd policy/requirements for fresh air exchange settings for reefer bookings.
In order to further improve our service Hapag-Lloyd is no longer in the position to accept fresh air ventilation details in percentage value (%) due to non standardized fresh air supply capacities of reefer equipment.
Depending on the reefer manufacturer and model the fresh air exchange capacity can vary between 0-200 cbm/h up to 0-285 cbm/h. A percentage setting could lead to misinterpretation of required reefer settings and therefore would have a possible impact on cargo quality.
Therefore please provide settings in cbm/h if fresh air supply is required.
