Hapag-Lloyd Vessels

As at 31 December 2013, Hapag-Lloyd's fleet comprised 151 container ships, which are all certified in accordance with the ISM (International Safety Management) Code and have a valid ISSC (ISPS) certificate. The majority of the vessels are also certified as per ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management).

The Hapag-Lloyd fleet's total TEU capacity amounted to around 729 TTEU. Hapag-Lloyd also owned or leased 665,857 containers with a capacity of 1,072 TTEU for transporting cargo.

As at 31 December 2013, Hapag-Lloyd has taken delivery of seven “Hamburg Express” class vessels. The current order book comprised at 31 December 2013 another three ships, each with a capacity of 13,200 TEU.

Hapag-Lloyd vessels are specially equipped for the transport of various goods, e.g. cargo with extraordinary / oversized dimensions, reefer cargo and dangerous goods that have to be stowed and transported according to IMO-regulations.
